Join us for archery classes hosted by 'On the Mark Archery'! Learn the martial art of archery using beautiful wooden recurve bows. The focus will be on form and technique. Build character, self-esteem and confidence with each triumph and tribulation on the range as you work hard to achieve consistent success! Unique lesson plans implement skill building drills with unique games that include prizes to keep participants engaged. All equipment provided and class is led by teams of certified USA Archery Instructors. Bring a water bottle and wear comfortable clothing. The youth program is for youth grades 4-8. The second session listed is for anyone in grade 9 or older. Adults and seniors welcome! There is a limited amount of room in each class, so don't wait to register! These classes will take place at the Floral Street School in Shrewsbury. This is a combined effort between Shrewsbury, Northborough, and Boylston Parks & Recreation.
Please note - the following dates have been preselected for make-up classes in the event of inclement weather. They are as follows:
Spring I - May 23, 2024 - 4:30-5:30pm for youth, 5:40-6:40pm for teen/adult
Spring II - June 27, 2024 - 4:30-5:30pm for youth, 5:40-6:40pm for teen/adult
Summer I - August 8, 2024- 5:00-6:00pm for both
Summer II - August 29, 2024 - 5:00-6:00pm for both
As with all programming, Boylston Parks & Recreation reserves the right to cancel any program, especially if the minimum number of participants is not met. Refunds will be initiated in the event of a cancellation by the Parks & Recreation Department. All attendees are expected to abide by the Parks & Recreation Code of Conduct.
