Basketball Buddies
Basketball Buddies of Massachusetts is a unified recreational program that pairs special needs athletes with typical peers in a structured setting. It is a non-competitive, social activity that includes skill building drills, stretching exercises, and weekly scrimmages. It is open to all residents ages 14-100 years that live in Central Massachusetts and beyond. The program is sponsored by Boylston Parks and Recreation and has served over 15 different towns since its inception. Basketball Buddies is a Family of Friends that is inclusive and welcoming regardless of (dis)ABILITY! Come join us!

Basketball Buddies 2019 will be on Saturdays from 10am-12pm

Hillside Gym: 221 Main Street, Boylston, MA 01505 (Route 70)

Please remember to wear sneakers and bring a water bottle!

*Practice/Scrimmage Dates:
-September 21, 28
-October 5, 19, 26 (Please note: NO practice on Oct 12)
-November 2, 9,16

Family and Friends are ALWAYS welcomed to cheer us on and participate in our social events!

*October 26 (weather permitting): Halloween Tailgating Party (after
practice)

*November 16: End of the Season Celebration Party (12pm-2pm)

*Date to be announced: Texas Roadhouse FUNdraiser Party

In an effort to nurture and maintain friendships, Basketball Buddies Founder/Coach organizes several social opportunities throughout the calendar year for the Buddies. Families and Friends are ALWAYS encouraged and welcomed to join in on the fun! During the 8 week program, they have a Halloween Tailgating Party, a successful FUNdraiser Night at Texas Roadhouse Restaurant, as well as an End Of The Season Award Celebration. Every May, they march in the Boylston Memorial Day Parade and have gotten together on many occasions for Social Outings (Holy Cross Games, Big Apple Circus, local plays, area restaurants, private pool parties and home cookouts to name a few).
