Celebrate 250 Years of America!

Celebrating 250 Years with the William Diamond Junior Fife and Drum Corps and 18th Century Historical Interpreter, Thomas Quirk

Join us, in partnership with the Boylston Historical Society and Museum, Inc., at the Boylston Town Common on June 6th at 4pm. A contingent of The William Diamond Junior Fife and Drum Corps of Lexington, MA (all members are 18 years or younger) will play some period pieces. The Fife and Drum Corps played a vital part in the Revolutionary War. Come and found out how! Bring your own chairs or blankets to sit on! For more information about the William Diamond Junior Fife and Drum Corps, check out their website: https://www.williamdiamondjrs.org/.

Immediately following their demonstration, everyone is welcome at the Historic Town Hall (second floor) adjacent to the Town Common for a presentation by Historical Interpreter, Thomas Quirk. Thomas will share stories of life in 18th century New England, factors that led to the Revolutionary War, and the Boylston men who answered the call on April 19, 1775. Thomas will also have his collection of Colonial period artifacts on display. For more information about Thomas' work, here is his website at https://www.experiencehistory.info/.

Come for one or both of the presentations!

Please note a portion of Central Street in front of Historic Town Hall will be closed to traffic during the program. Parking is available around the Common and at the First Congregational Church of Boylston - thank you to the Church for allowing us to use their parking lot! In addition, we extend our thanks and gratitude to the Boylston Historical Society and Museum, Inc. and Boylston Cultural Council for help in making this happen!
